Eva Šeniglová is a graduate from the Conservatory and the School of Art in Bratislava (in the class of Vlasta Hudecová). She was a finalist in the Mikuláš Schneider Trnavský (Trnava) and Antonín Dvořák (Karlove Vary) singing competitions and won second place and the title of laureate in the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Competition (Prague). She also obtained a bronze diploma from her study stay at Academia Musicale di Chigianna in Sienna (under G. Favaretto). From 1986 to 1990 she was a soloist of the Chamber Opera in Bratislava. Since 1990 she has been a member of the Slovak National Theater Opera Company, where she has participated in many foreign performances. Her broad stage repertoire includes Fiordiligi (´Cosi fan tutte´), Papagena (´The Magic Flute´), the Wise Woman (from the opera with the same title by Carl Orff), Micaela (´Carmen´), Cio-Cio-San (´Madame Butterfly´), Mimi (´La Boheme´ by Ruggiero Leoncavallo), Vendulka (´The Kiss´ by Bedřich Smetana) and many others. She has also rendered great operetta parts including Rosalinda (´The Bat´) and Countess Marica. In addition to stage and concert performances, she also teaches at the State Conservatory in Bratislava
