Luana Brunetti

Soloist
She began her dance studies at the Mattion in the Brunetti Ballet School in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
 
In 2009 she joined the Teatro Colón Ballet Company in Buenos Aires. In the season 2016/17 she joined the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre and was promoted to soloist in 2018.
 
Her repertory with the Slovak National Theatre includes principal and solo roles such as Giselle (Giselle, ch. R. Avnikian after J. Perrot, J. Coralli, M. Petipa), Masha, Flower Waltz solo, Snowflakes solo (The Nutcracker, ch. R. Avnikian, J. Dolinský), Gulnara, Odalisque (Le Corsaire, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Queen of Dryads, Mercedes (Don Quixote, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Fleur de Lys (La Esmeralda, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), pas de trois (Swan Lake, ch. R. Avnikian after M. Petipa, L. Ivanov), Blue bird pas de deux (The Sleeping Beauty, ch. V. Malakhov), Solo soul (Romeo and Juliet … Just Like Yesterday, ch. N. Horečná), Mildred Harris (Chaplin, The Tramp – Homage to the Prodigy, ch. D. de Andrade), Butterfly (A Beetle Was Born, ch. I. Holováč).
 
Her repertory outside of the SND Ballet includes such roles as Odette/Odile (Swan Lake, ch. P. Wright), Masha (The Nutcracker, ch. L. Segni), Camille Claudel (Rodin, ch. B. Eifman), Soloist (Donizetti variations, ch. G. Balanchine), Petit pas de deux (La Sylphide, ch. P. Lacotte), Dulcinea, Queen of Dryads, Kitri’s friend (Don Quixote, ch. M. Guerra), Odalisque (Le Corsaire, ch. A. N. Holmes), Juliet’s friends (Romeo and Juliet, ch. M. Guerra), Hunters (Sylvia, ch. F. Ashton), Side kick girl I (In the Middle Somewhat Elevated, ch. W. Forstyhe), etc.
