Richard Wagner - Exhibition honouring the 200th anniversary of the great German composer

In 2013, the world commemorates the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great reformer of opera, Richard Wagner. The Theatre Institute in Bratislava honours the great composer with an exhibition documenting Wagner´s presence on Slovak theatre stages. The exhibition features photographs of posters and set and costume designs as well as several unique exhibits and reflects the interest of Slovak theatre makers in Wagner´s oeuvre from the early days of professional theatre in Slovakia. The opening of the exhibition takes place on the eve of the première of Lohengrin, on Friday, 24th May at 5.00 pm in the foyer of the SND New Building. Curator of the exhibition: Jaroslav Blaho.
