Andrej Szabo

First soloist
He graduated at The Eva Jaczová Dance Conservatory in Bratislava in 2003 and studied at The Princess Grace Ballet Academy (Académie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace) in Monaco.
 
He joined the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in 2004. In 2010 he was promoted to soloist and, in 2014, the leading soloist. In 2010 he was member of the Ballet Bratislava and, in 2011, the Nová scéna Theatre.
 
His repertory with the Slovak National Theatre includes principal a solo roles such as Prince Siegfried, Rothbart (Swan Lake, ch. R. Avnikian after M. Petipa a L. Ivanov), Mouse King, Drosselmeier (The Nutcracker, ch. R. Avnikian, J. Dolinský after V. Vainonen), Cavalier, Drosselmeier (The Nutcracker, ch. F. Nault), Hilarion (Giselle, ch. R. Avnikian after J. Perrot, J. Coralli, M. Petipa; ch. O. Šoth), Onegin (Onegin, ch. V. Medvedev), Oberon (Midsummer’s Night Dream, ch. Y. Vámos), Komptur – father of Elvira (Don Juan, ch. I. Holováč), Father Lorenzo (Romeo and Juliet … Just Like Yesterday, ch. N. Horečná), Ivan (Beyond Sin/The Brothers Karamazov, ch. B. Eifman), Sergey Diaghilev (Nijinsky – God of Dance, ch. D. de Andrade), Conrad, Birbanto (Le Corsaire, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Clopin, Claude Frollo (La Esmeralda, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Charlie’s Father, Male Guardian, Erick Campbell (Chaplin, The Tramp – Homage to the Prodigy, ch. D. de Andrade), Lienka Marienka (A Beetle Was Born, ch. I. Kudelka), Midsummer’s Night Dream (ch. E. Frey), Caligula (ch. I. Holováč), Bolero, Everest, Zmena, Warhol (ch. M. Radačovský).
